Dental Veneers FAQs

Got a question? We’re here to help.

  • Do dental veneers look natural?

Yes, one of the advantages of veneers is that they are made to mimic the light-reflecting properties of natural teeth. High-quality porcelain veneers, when crafted and applied by skilled professionals, can look completely natural and indistinguishable from real teeth.

  • Do dental veneers stain?

Unlike our natural teeth, veneers will not be stained as easily by food and drink because they are less porous than natural teeth.

  • Can I pick the color of my dental veneers?

Yes, Dr. Custer will help you decide on the perfect color for your smile.

  • Are dental veneers permanent?

Yes, dental veneers are considered to be permanent. However, you should not eat hard and sticky foods like carrots and caramel because they can dislodge or fracture your veneers.

  • Do dental veneers require special care?

Dental veneers do not require special care. Continue to follow good oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and rinsing with an antiseptic mouthwash as you normally would. However, it's important to avoid chewing on hard objects like ice or pens, and never use your teeth to open packaging to prevent damaging the veneers.
